For thousands of women and children displaced by the devastating floods, hope has arrived in the form of food aid and mental health support from the Borno State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.

Led by Hon. Zuwaira Gambo, the ministry has distributed vital food supplies to 1,000 flood-affected families, providing relief from hunger and malnutrition.

The intervention took place at Simari, Zannari Ali Goshe, and Maisandari host communities.

The intervention also includes crucial mental health services, acknowledging the traumatic impact of displacement on vulnerable women and children.

The floods have disproportionately affected women and children, leaving many without access to basic necessities.

The ministry's response has been a beacon of hope, addressing not only physical needs but also the emotional scars of the disaster.

The commissioner emphasized the Ministry's commitment to supporting flood victims, particularly women and children.
