Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, has established a committee to oversee flood disaster relief disbursement.

The committee, announced by Secretary to the State Government Alhaji Bukar Tijjani, aims to coordinate government intervention for victims of flooding in Maiduguri and surrounding areas.

The flooding, caused by the Alau Dam overflow, has displaced communities and damaged public and private infrastructure.

The governor urged committee members to execute their tasks with commitment and transparency.

The 32-member committee includes representatives from various organizations, government agencies, and community leaders, ensuring transparency and accountability in relief efforts.
