Eighty-four officers of the Borno State Police Command have been promoted to their next ranks.


The promotions were celebrated at a ceremony on Wednesday held at the Command Headquarters in Maiduguri.


The command's Commissioner of Police (CP) ML Yusufu presided over the event, emphasizing the significance of the promotions and stating that the new ranks reflect the officers' leadership skills, strategic thinking, and ability to inspire their colleagues.


The promoted officers include 10 Superintendent of Police (SP) to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), 11 Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) to SP, and 63 Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) to DSP.


CP Yusufu conveyed congratulations from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun and the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, retired Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Hashimu Argungu.


He urged the newly promoted officers to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and leadership in their new roles.


A representative of the promoted officers expressed gratitude to the Police Service Commission and the command for recognizing their service.


They also thanked supervisors, senior colleagues, fellow officers, subordinates, and families for their support, pledging to serve with renewed vigor, lead by example, and maintain the highest standards of the police profession.
