The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has hosted an engagement with its veterans at the Airmen and Airwomen Training Centre in Maiduguri, focusing on empowerment and health strategies.

The event which held on Saturday was led by Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, Chief of Air Staff (CAS).

The event will reinforced the NAF's commitment to supporting its personnel beyond their service years.

At the event, a seasoned medical expert delivered a health talk titled 'Health Talk: Life Balance,' emphasizing the importance of maintaining physical and mental well-being during retirement.

Facilitators also provided practical guidance on adapting to life outside the military, covering topics such as skills to improve income and using soft strategies for retirement management.

A presentation outlined the NAF's strategies for veteran management, including ongoing initiatives and future plans to integrate retired personnel into national development efforts.

Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar expressed appreciation for the service and sacrifices of the veterans, reaffirming that their welfare remains a top priority for the Air Force.

The event concluded with a group photograph, symbolizing camaraderie and unity among NAF personnel, both serving and retired.

The event was part of the NAF Base Annual Socio-Cultural Activities (BASA) 2025.
