Shehu of Bama, His Royal Highness, Dr. Umar Kyari Umar El-Kanemi has received the staff of office from Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum.
The ceremony took place on Tuesday at the Central Stadium in Bama Local Government Area.
The event marked the official recognition of Dr. El-Kanemi as the 2nd Shehu of Bama, following the passing of his predecessor on April 27, 2020.
It was attended by a plethora of dignitaries, including the Deputy Governor of Borno, Umar Usman Karafur, and other top government officials.
Traditional leaders from across Nigeria, Cameroon, and Chad also graced the occasion, including the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, and the Shehu of Borno, Abubakar Umar Garbai Elkanemi.
