Fourteen suspects were arrested by the Borno State Police Command for drug-related activities in Maiduguri Metropolis.

This was confirmed in a statement issued on Tuesday by the command's spokesman, ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso.

According to him, the suspects were apprehended during a joint raid operation conducted by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) - Social Vices Unit on May 10, 2025.

He said a large cache of exhibits was recovered from the suspects, including 187 Exzol tablets, 252 D5 tablets, 507 wraps of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, one jackknife, and one tramadol tablet.

In the statement, the command reiterates its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents and strongly warns criminal elements to desist from their nefarious activities or face the full wrath of the law.

The command advises members of the public to remain vigilant, be wary of suspicious movements in their neighborhoods, and report any unusual activity to the authorities through the emergency contact numbers: 0806 807 5581 and 0802 347 3293.
