In the aftermath of devastation, Governor Babagana Umara Zulum's leadership has been a beacon of hope for the people of Borno State.

One year into his administration's infrastructure development drive, the results are nothing short of remarkable.

Despite the challenges posed by the September 2024 flood, Gov. Zulum has remained steadfast in his commitment to rebuilding and revitalizing the state's infrastructure.

This remarkable effort has not only showcased the governor's resilience and determination but also brought hope and renewed optimism to the people of Borno, who are eager to see their state flourish once again.

Full list of achievements

Within a span of just one year, from June 2024 to June 2025, Gov. Zulum's administration has achieved the following:

  • Construction of 1.90 km dual road, with 3.80 km drainage and street light at Amb. Mahmud Ahmed road Gwange.

  • Construction of 9.30km roads network and 9.10km drainages network at Umarari / Ngarannam.

  • Construction of 3.88 km road and drainage network at Farm Center Housing Estate.

  • Construction of 782m dual carriage road network at Kashim Ibrahim University Teaching Hospital (KIUTH) and rehabilitation of 3.10 km single carriage road within the Kashim Ibrahim University.

  • Rehabilitation and overlay of 37.54 km dual carriage road Lagos street, from welcome to Maiduguri gate through Bama Road to Custom flyover, from Custom flyover through Sir Kashim Ibrahim Road to West End flyover and from West End flyover through Baga Road to Gubio Road junction.

  • Rehabilitationon and overlay of 4.80 km dual carriage road from West End flyover through Sir Kashim Ibrahim Road to Race Course roundabout to Shehu’s Palace roundabout, 5.56 km Muhammadu Indimi Way and 960m Shehu Laminu way from Post Office to Bolori roundabout.

  • Completion of 3 span Flyover bridge with service length at West End Sir Kashim Ibrahim Road.

  • Rehabilitation of Mafa/Dikwa section of Maiduguri Ngala Road.

  • Procurement of 35 Howo tipper trucks and Luigong wheel loader.

  • Construction of 9.29 km road and 16.56 km drainage networks within Askira township Askira/Uba.

  • Construction of 340 meters outfall drain from Ahmadu Bello way near the skin clinic to river Ngadda-bul behind BRTV, and 370m drain from Forte filling station along Shehu Laminu way to river Ngadda-bul.

  • Construction of 32 Junior Police Mounted Troops Quarters at Wulari.
