The Borno State Police Command's Rapid Response Squad (RRS) apprehended two suspects, Kabiru Mohammed, 23 year old and Saidu Garba, 30 year old.
In a statement issued by ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso, the command's spokesman, the suspects were apprehended during a patrol in Gwange Sabon Gari.
The suspects were found with various illicit substances, including tramadol capsules, cough syrup, D5 tablets, Exol tablets, Ermoh, and dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.
According to ASP Daso, the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Maiduguri for further investigation, and the suspects will face prosecution.
In the statement, Commissioner of Police CP ML Yusufu reassured the public of the command's commitment to combating crime and warned drug dealers to desist from their activities or face the law.
