Borno State University (BOSU) has announced the appointment of Prof. Babagana Gutti as its new substantive Vice Chancellor.

Prof. Gutti succeeds Prof. Haruna Dlakwa, who held the position in an acting capacity following the tenure of Prof. Umar Kyari Sandabe, the university's first substantive Vice Chancellor.

A seasoned academic, Prof. Gutti is a professor of engineering at the University of Maiduguri. His wealth of experience and expertise are expected to propel the institution forward.

Prof. Gutti's tenure will focus on initiatives aimed at enhancing the institution's academic excellence, research, and infrastructure development.

A handover ceremony is expected to take place soon, marking the official transition of leadership.

With Prof. Gutti at the helm, BOSU is poised for growth and development, building on the foundations laid by his predecessors.
