Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has condemned the armed robbery attack on a livestock market in Fika Local Government Area, of the state.


According to reports, the attack which resulted in the loss of seven lives, and injured 11 people occured on Monday evening at Ngalda town livestock market.


The reports said that the robbers carted away with N16.5 million.


While reacting to the incident in a statement issued on Tuesday, Gov. Buni expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and sent a delegation, led by Speaker Ciroma Buba Mashio, to offer support and condolences to those affected.


The governor also directed security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident, identifying any security vulnerabilities that may have contributed to the attack and ensuring that those responsible are brought to justice.


'You should do a thorough investigation, check the loopholes to guard against future occurrence, just as you don't spare those involved,' the governor directed.
