The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the 5th Lake Chad Basin Governors' Forum paid a courtesy visit to the Shehu of Borno State, HRH Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Al-Amin El-Kanemi, as part of preparations for the upcoming forum.
They paid the visit on Sunday evening in Maiduguri.
During the visit, the LOC expressed its gratitude for the Shehu's continued support and prayers, which have been instrumental in facilitating the forum's success.
While responding, the Shehu, acknowledged the importance of the forum in promoting regional cooperation and development.
According to LOC, the visit was also an opportunity for them to brief the Shehu on the preparations for the forum, which is scheduled to take place from January 29 to 31, at the Muhammadu Indimi International Conference Center, University of Maiduguri.
The LOC said it has been working to ensure that all logistical arrangements are in place for a successful meeting.
