University of Maiduguri has issued a strong denial regarding a fraudulent circular circulating online claiming a 'waiver for final year students carrying over only one (1) course.'
Dr. E.A. Felix, from the Admissions Office, has explicitly stated that the document is fake and did not originate from him or the University's official channels.
Dr. Felix clarified in a statement on Thursday that he has 'no knowledge of this document' and that it 'is not an official document of the University of Maiduguri.'
He further pointed out that the signature on the purported circular appears to be 'scanned and superimposed,' definitively marking it as fraudulent.
'I hereby urge the general public, especially the university community, to ignore and completely discountenance the fake circular and its entire content,' Dr. Felix emphasized.
He reassured the university community that all official communications from the University of Maiduguri will be disseminated through appropriate and verifiable channels.
The University urges students and the public to be vigilant and to only rely on official sources for information regarding university policies and announcements.
