Two teenagers, Bukar Mustapha, 16, and Ibrahim Mohammed, 17, were arrested in connection with the theft of 19 sewing machines from the Dala Lawati Skills Acquisition Center in Maiduguri, Borno State.

In a statement issued on Thursday by the Borno State Police Command Spokesman, ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso, they were apprehended along with a 34-year-old security guard, Kaka Modu Mustapha, who allegedly conspired with them to carry out the theft.

ASP Daso said the incident occurred on March 22, 2025, at about 2:00 PM.

He said that the arrest follows a swift action by officers from the Bulumkutu Division.

He noted that the division recovered six of the stolen machines and efforts are ongoing to recover the remaining machines.

The police are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
