The Borno State Police Command is set to celebrate the maiden edition of National Police Day on April 7, as directed by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The event aims to honor police officers' sacrifices and strengthen community engagement and public trust.

The command has planned a week-long series of community-focused activities from April 2 to 7, including:

  • A town hall meeting with stakeholders to discuss security concerns and crime prevention strategies

  • A sanitation and cleanup exercise in collaboration with the Borno State Environmental Protection Agency

  • A free medical outreach to provide essential medical services to community members

  • A school sensitization campaign to educate students on social vices

  • A walkathon to foster unity and strengthen the partnership between law enforcement and the public

The public is urged to participate in the programs to build a safer and more prosperous society.
