The Nigerian military has confirmed the elimination of at least 60 Boko Haram terrorists in a decisive and coordinated operation in Bita, Borno State.
According to a statement obtained from the official Facebook page of the military on Friday morning, the gallant troops of Operation Hadin Kai launched a simultaneous land and air assault on terrorist positions in the early hours of the day.
The intense battle resulted in the neutralization of at least 60 terrorists.
In a separate incident, terrorists attacked Damasak, a town in Mobbar Local Government Area, on Thursday night, but were repelled by Nigerian troops, who killed an undisclosed number of terrorists.
The operations are part of the ongoing efforts by the Nigerian military to eradicate terrorism and restore peace in the region.
The government has promised to continue supporting the military in their efforts to secure the country and protect its citizens.
