The North East chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) today officially endorsed the Tinubu/Kashim ticket for the 2027 presidential election.

The unanimous decision was reached during the North East All Progressives Congress Consultative Meeting held in Gombe, the Gombe State capital, drawing thousands of party members and top officials from across the zone.

Governors Babagana Zulum of Borno, Mai-Mala Buni of Yobe, and Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe were prominent among the attendees, signaling a strong regional consensus behind the current leadership.

Other significant figures present included the National Chairman of APC, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and Deputy National Chairman, Dr. Ali Bukar Dalori.

According to Dauda Illiya, Governor Zulum's spokesperson, the forum lauded President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, asserting that their “Renewed Hope Agenda” has significantly transformed Nigeria in their short term of leadership.

They collectively urged all Nigerians to rally behind the ticket, emphasizing its promise of unity, progress, and hope for the nation.

In his address, Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum, highlighted the achievements of the Tinubu/Shettima-led government over the past two years.

He specifically cited notable progress in critical sectors such as health, education, youth and women empowerment, revenue generation, and a general improvement in the lives of citizens.

The endorsement signifies a strong show of support from a key geopolitical zone for the current administration, setting the stage for the upcoming 2027 presidential election.
