A high-powered committee from Borno State, tasked with resuscitating and rehabilitating the Borno Radio and Television (BRTV), paid a working visit to the Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC).
Led by Prof. Usman Tar, chairman of the committee and Borno State Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, the delegation aimed to draw valuable lessons from KSMC's successful media operations.
The visit, initiated by Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, seeks to revamp BRTV, which was severely affected by last year's flooding in Maiduguri.
Prof. Tar emphasized that KSMC's progress in digitization, content development, and administrative efficiency offers a valuable opportunity for peer learning.
The Managing Director of KSMC, represented by the Deputy Director of Programmes, commended the Borno State Government for its commitment to resuscitating BRTV.
The KSMC team assured readiness to share experiences and collaborate in areas of mutual benefit, including staff training, content exchange, and technical development.
During the visit, the Borno State delegation received a comprehensive tour of KSMC's facilities, including an assessment of facilities and equipment and an inspection of the newly completed KSMC headquarters.
The committee members who participated in the visit include prominent figures from the Ministry of Information and BRTV, highlighting the importance of this collaboration for Borno State's media development.
