The Borno State Scholarships Board has announced the commencement of applications for indigenes seeking to study aviation-related degree programs.

The issue, according to the board which issued the announcement, is that many aspiring aviation students in the state lack access to affordable training in aircraft piloting and aircraft engineering.

The board said the application process is meant to address this challenge by supporting qualified candidates who meet the required academic standards and provide the necessary documents.

It explained that applicants must submit photocopies of their SSCE results with credit passes in English, mathematics, physics, chemistry, and one other science-related subject, as well as their indigene certificate, birth certificate, 2025 JAMB result with a minimum score of 160, and primary school certificate.

It stated that applications must be submitted on or before Thursday, 4 December 2025, at the Borno State Scholarships Board office in Maiduguri.

It added that an aptitude test will follow on Friday, 5 December 2025, at the ICT Centre, Ramat Polytechnic, Maiduguri, beginning at 8:00 a.m., and candidates are expected to come with their original JAMB slips and other documents for verification.
