Dr. Falmata Babagana Umara Zulum, First Lady of Borno State, has called on women to take a leading role in nurturing families and strengthening communities during Ramadan.

In a goodwill message following the sighting of the crescent moon on Wednesday, she said Ramadan is a sacred period for spiritual renewal, self-reflection, and rejuvenation.

She urged women to embody the values of compassion, kindness, and generosity that define the holy month.

Dr. Zulum emphasized that women’s contributions at home and in the community are vital for fostering unity and progress.

She encouraged women to use the period of fasting for reflection, selflessness, and acts of service.

The First Lady also appealed for prayers for Borno State and the nation to overcome current challenges.

She called on all Muslims to unite in prayer for Allah’s mercy, guidance, and protection.

She concluded by praying for peace, stability, and prosperity for all.
