The Association of Radiographers of Nigeria (ARN), Borno State branch, has officially flagged off the commemoration of World Radiography Day 2026.
The weeklong activities for the commemoration kicked off on Wednesday in Maiduguri, Borno State.
This year's theme is 'Upholding Patient Care'.
Under the leadership of Rad. Abubakar Goni Bashir, the association said the objective of commemorating the day is to promote public awareness of the radiography profession, strengthen community engagement, encourage career development among students, and showcase the contributions of radiographers to patient care and healthcare delivery.
The activities lined up for the commemoration include school visitation and career guidance on November 4, community health outreach on November 5, Kanuri radio health programme and Hausa radio programme on November 6.
Others include a football friendly match on November 6, and the main World Radiography Day celebration on November 8 at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu ICT Center, University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital.
