The Borno Geographic Information Service (BOGIS) has announced an extension of the deadline for payment of land premium charges for applicants holding offer letters in New Maiduguri City Layouts.

The announcement was issued in a statement on Monday.

Initially, applicants were given one month to complete payments through the agency's online platform.

However, following public requests for more time, the government has extended the deadline to March 31, 2026.

BOGIS has begun issuing Grant of Right of Occupancy and is urging applicants to finalize payments and documentations before the new deadline.

This move reflects the government's commitment to orderly city development, efficient land administration, and providing citizens with opportunities to secure legal ownership of their allocations in New Maiduguri City.
