At least 40,000 vulnerable individuals in Yobe State are set to benefit from the Federal Government's Emergency Food and Nutrition Support programme.
Governor Mai Mala Buni flagged off the initiative in Damaturu, which provides nutritional food baskets and medical supplies during Ramadan.
The programme is a welcome relief for vulnerable households in the state.
The distributed items include a bag of rice, beans, millet, vegetable oil, palm oil, seasonings, salt, paste, tomatoes, and medical consumables, reaching 3 health facilities.
Gov. Buni thanked President Bola Tinubu for providing the support, and Minister Yusuf Tanko Sununu for his commitment.
He also appreciated the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons for supporting his humanitarian efforts.
The programme aims to alleviate hardship and enhance resilience among vulnerable households in Yobe State.
