Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has approved the appointment of Mohammed Goje as Acting Secretary to the State Government, SSG, with immediate effect.
The appointment was announced Wednesday in a statement by the director-general, press and media affairs to the governor, Mamman Mohammed.
Goje replaces Baba Mallam Wali, who was recently endorsed as a preferred successor in the state’s 2027 governorship race.
Until his appointment, Goje served as the Executive Secretary of the Yobe State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA.
Gov. Buni charged the new appointee to rededicate his efforts to the service of the state and the welfare of the people.
The appointment takes immediate effect.
