The Media and Publicity Directorate of Hon. Adam Isa Badamasi, popularly known as Adam Jere, has dismissed reports circulating on social media claiming he has been appointed Director General of the Borno State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the director general of media and publicity, Comr. A. S. Biye, said the attention of the office has been drawn to the rumours.
'We sincerely appreciate the overwhelming goodwill, prayers, congratulatory messages, and continued support from our numerous supporters and well-wishers who are eager to see Hon. Adam Isa Badamasi attain greater heights,' the statement read.
However, Biye clarified that no official announcement has been made regarding the purported appointment.
'We therefore urge the public to disregard the speculation and refrain from spreading unverified information,' he said.
The statement added that any official development regarding an appointment will be communicated through the appropriate and authorized channels.
Hon. Adam Isa Badamasi is a former aspirant for the Jere Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives. He stepped down for the current member occupying the seat.
