Former Senator representing Borno Central, Sen. Kaka Mallam Yale, is dead.
Sen. Yale died on Friday at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, UMTH, while receiving treatment.
His funeral prayer is scheduled to hold immediately after Juma’at prayers at the Maiduguri Central Mosque, Shehu’s Palace.
In a statement announcing his passing, family members described his death as 'a profound sadness and a deep sense of loss' to Borno State and Nigeria.
Sen. Yale served Borno State in various capacities during his public career.
He was Chairman of Local Government Service Commission, Commissioner for Education, Commissioner for Health, and also served as Chairman of Konduga Local Government Area among others.
He is survived by wives, children, brothers, sisters, and other relatives.
The family prayed for repose of his soul.
May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, have mercy upon his soul, and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen.
