Almost 100 flood victims, mostly women and elderly, received a cash support of N100,000 each from HEEBA Foundation in Maiduguri, Borno State.

The event was held on Saturday at Armani Hostels, Maiduguri.

The beneficiaries, selected from various areas affected by the September 10, 2024 flood, including Galtimari, Fori, 505 Housing Estate, London Ciki, Goni Kachallari, and Gidan Dambe, were overwhelmed with gratitude.

Barr. Fatima Binta Abdu, founder of HEEBA Foundation, urged the beneficiaries to use the funds judiciously, emphasizing that the support came from sympathetic individuals.

The Abuja-based legal practitioner reiterated the foundation's commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals, including IDPs and disaster victims.

The flood, which displaced many, claimed lives, and destroyed properties worth millions, left many struggling to rebuild.

Adamu Aliyu, 60, a beneficiary, expressed his heartfelt thanks, saying, 'I've never received such kind support in my life. Only God will reward them.'

Marta Ibrahim, 45, another beneficiary, prayed for the foundation, saying, 'May God reward them abundantly. This support will help us regain our lost businesses.'

HEEBA Foundation, established during the Boko Haram crisis, has consistently supported vulnerable individuals in Borno State.

This recent distribution of N10 million (N100,000 x 100 beneficiaries) demonstrates the foundation's ongoing commitment to alleviating suffering in the region.
