Ali Abdullahi Isa has been appointed as the acting Director General of the Borno State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA).
His appointment was approved by the Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum.
The announcement was made by the governor's spokesman, Malam Dauda Iliya, in a statement issued on Wednesday.
Until his appointment, Ali Abdullahi Isa served as the Director of Research and Statistics at SEMA.
According to the statement, he brings over three decades of experience to his new role, having started his career as an Audit Assistant in 1991.
He rose through the ranks to become Chief Administrative Officer Audit and later Assistant Director of Administration at Government House in 2017.
As the acting Director General of SEMA, Ali Abdullahi Isa is expected to utilize his wealth of experience in humanitarian service to steer the agency's affairs and benefit the people of Borno.
In the statement, the governor has tasked him with using his expertise to make a positive impact in the state.
The appointment of Ali Abdullahi Isa as the acting Director General of SEMA follows the departure of Dr Barkindo Mohammed Saidu, who has been directed to report to the office of the Head of Service immediately.
