Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Gen. Christopher Musa paid a visit to Maiduguri, Borno State, on Thursday afternoon.

Although the purpose of his visit was not officially revealed to journalists, sources suggest it may be connected to the recent resurgence of terrorist attacks in the state.

In the past few days, terrorists have launched attacks on several military formations, including the Marte base, Rann in Kala Balge Local Government Area, and Gajiram in Nganzai Local Government Area, among others.

The CDS was accompanied by other senior military officers during his visit.

The visit comes at a time when the military is working to restore peace and security in the region.
