Troops of Operation HADIN KAI has on Wednesday repelled a terrorist attack on their location in Izge.

The military reported that scores of insurgents were neutralized and their combat equipment captured during the engagement.

According to a statement from Captain Reuben Kovangiya, Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, Headquarters Theatre Command Operation HADIN KAI said, the firefight lasted for several hours.

The troops displayed a high level of determination, leading to the neutralization of several terrorists, while others were forced to retreat in disarray.

In a follow-up pursuit of the fleeing terrorists, more than seven additional insurgents were neutralized.

The army also reported the capture of critical terrorist assets, including one motorcycle, ten bicycles, and a PKT automatic machine gun with ammunition belts.

The statement further mentioned that another attempted terrorist attack in Mallamfatori was also successfully foiled, resulting in significant losses for the terrorists.

The Commander of Operation HADIN KAI commended the gallant troops for their actions, urging them to continue their efforts to create a terrorist-free environment.
