The Borno State Police Command has announced comprehensive security preparations ahead of the Eid-el-Kabir (Eid-el-Adha) celebrations scheduled for Friday, June 6, 2025.

The command has rolled out robust operational strategies to ensure peace, safety, and order before, during, and after the festivities.

In a statement issued by the command's spokesman, ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso, the commissioner of police, CP Yusufu Mohammed Lawal, has urged everyone to celebrate peacefully and responsibly, in the spirit of unity and harmony.

ASP Daso said to achieve this, the command has strategically deployed police personnel and assets across key areas, including prayer grounds, major roads, recreational centers, worship centers, and other public spaces.

The command is also collaborating with sister security agencies and stakeholders to ensure public safety.

Worshippers are urged to pray in nearby mosques to ease crowd control.

Car owners are advised to securely park their vehicles, while parents and guardians are urged to be cautious with children in crowded areas.

ASP Daso added that the command has provided emergency contact numbers for the public to reach out in case of need: 0806 807 5581 and 0802 347 3293.

The police calls on members of the public to remain law-abiding, vigilant, and cooperate with security personnel to ensure a hitch-free celebration.
