Journalists from Borno State have kicked off a four-day training program on integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) in media and production.

The workshop, supported by the MacArthur Foundation and BBC News, aims to equip local media professionals with cutting-edge skills to navigate the evolving digital journalism landscape.

On the first day, award-winning documentary producer and former BBC filmmaker, Dean Arnett, led the session 'AI Tools for Media and Content Production.'

With over two decades of experience in the media industry, Arnett shared his expertise on how AI tools can streamline production while maintaining creative integrity.

He discussed various AI tools, including Geo issues with AI, AI story-finding tools, AI for research, and website building, among others.

The training program will delve deeper into practical applications and strategic use of AI to enhance reporting, production efficiency, and journalistic output in the region.
