The management of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) has announced that academic activities for the Second Semester of the 2024/2025 session will commence on Monday, June 16, 2025.

The announcement was made in an official circular released on Tuesday.

The document, addressed to all staff, students, and members of the university community, confirms the resumption date and sets the stage for the continuation of the academic year.

According to the circular signed by Dr. Sule Hyeladi, the Director of Senate and Academic Matters, on behalf of the Registrar, students are expected to be on campus and ready for immediate academic engagement.

The notice specifically states, 'Students are to note that lectures will commence immediately on resumption,' signaling that there will be no grace period for the start of academic work.

The university management concluded the notice by wishing all students a safe return to Maiduguri as they prepare to begin the new semester.
