The Lake Chad Governors' Forum has appointed Dr. Sa'id Alkali Kori, Chairman and Group CEO of Thinklab Group Limited, as its Technical Adviser.

The appointment was made by Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, who is also the Chairman of the forum.

The appointment was announced on Wednesday in a statement issued by the Yobe State Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Baba Mallam Wali.

According to the SSG, Dr. Kori's appointment is in recognition of his exceptional performance and dedication to duty.

His international network and leadership skills are expected to enhance engagement with partners and accelerate progress in the Lake Chad Basin region.

Dr. Kori is a highly qualified technocrat, with a doctorate from the University of Liverpool, a master's degree from the University of Salford, and a bachelor's degree in architecture from FUT Yola.

He has a wealth of experience as a lecturer at the University of Liverpool and Yobe State University.

As an entrepreneur with international reputation, the Thinklab boss holds board positions with two multinational corporations, BIM Africa and Fulus Capital among others.

He also has vast travel experience, having visited over 30 countries in different continents.

The appointment is a testament to Dr. Kori's capabilities and commitment to development, and a move, expected to have a positive impact on the region, leveraging his expertise and network to drive development and progress.

Governor Buni has similarly appointed Dr. Kori as his Honorary Special Adviser on International Relations and Development.

Shuaibu Abdullahi, Press Secretary to the SSG, described Dr. Kori's past performance, dedication, and personal commitment to the development of Yobe State as worthy of the appointment.
