The Borno State Scholarship Board (BSSB) has announced the commencement of its 2024/2025 undergraduate scholarship application for qualified indigenes of the state.

According to a statement issued on Friday by the board’s Information Unit on behalf of the Executive Secretary, the online application portal will be open from Monday, 7th July to Tuesday, 14th August, 2025.

Interested candidates are to submit their applications via the official website: https://bssb.bo.gov.ng.

The scholarship is targeted at Borno State indigenes pursuing undergraduate studies in recognized Nigerian institutions.

Eligibility criteria include being a bonafide indigene of Borno State, currently in the first year of study (Part I and Direct Entry Part II for universities, ND I and HND I for polytechnics and colleges, and NCE I for colleges of education), and being a duly registered student.

Applicants are required to upload a recent passport photograph with a red background, their school admission letter, and their registration receipt.

The board also noted that students living with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply, as inclusivity remains a key priority for the government.

The Borno State Scholarship Board urged all eligible candidates to take advantage of the application window before the closing date.
