A six-year-old boy, Muhammad Muhammad (Modu) who had gone missing, was found safe.

The young boy was discovered in the New Prison Area of Borno State by a good Samaritan.

According to his family, Modu had left home on Thursday at around 2:30 PM and was nowhere to be found until his discovery on Friday.

The family expressed gratitude to the general public for their prayers and support during the ordeal.

'We thanked the general public for their prayers as young Modu returned home safely,' the family said.

Modu's family had earlier announced his disappearance and urged the public to provide any information that could lead to his safe return.

The family's relief and joy are palpable now that Modu is back home safe and sound.
