President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to arrive in Maiduguri, Borno State capital, tomorrow, Saturday, to commission a school and other developmental projects.
The visit is expected to give a boost to education in the state, which has suffered significantly due to over a decade of Boko Haram insurgency.
According to the state's commissioner of information and internal security, Prof. Usman Tar, the president will commission a school and other projects executed by Governor Babagana Umara Zulum's administration.
The state government has been working to rebuild mega schools to reduce the number of out-of-school children in Borno, after thousands of schools were destroyed by Boko Haram terrorists.
The Borno State government has also been integrating Western and Islamic education systems to improve learning outcomes.
Prof. Tar has called on members of the public to turn out en masse to welcome the president, saying the event is a significant milestone for the state.
