The Officer Commanding the Crack Squad of the Nigeria Police Force in Borno State, ACP Ibrahim O. Mohammed, has retired from active service after years of dedicated service.

The retirement ceremony, held on Friday in Maiduguri, attracted senior police officers, government officials, community leaders, family members, and well-wishers who gathered to honour his commitment to duty and service to humanity.

Speakers praised ACP Mohammed for his disciplined leadership and key role in strengthening security and police-community relations in Borno State.

His contributions earned him national recognition with the Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) award in 2023.

The Commissioner of Police, Borno State Command, CP Naziru Abdulmajid, said the ceremony was more than a formal farewell, noting that few officers leave service with deep respect from both the institution and the public.

In his remarks, ACP Mohammed thanked the Nigeria Police Force, his colleagues, and his family for their support, pledging to continue contributing to society after retirement.

His wife, Barrister Zara Mohammed, thanked guests for celebrating her husband and supporting their family over the years, describing the day as one of joy and reflection.

The event featured goodwill messages and presentation of gifts, including from the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA).

As the ceremony came to a close, it was clear that ACP Ibrahim O. Mohammed’s uniform may be retired, but his impact on Borno State—and the people who feel safer because of his work—will remain.
