Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, spent the entire Saturday night coordinating security operations in Pulka following recent attacks on Ngoshe, Pulka, and surrounding communities in Gwoza Local Government Area.

The move marked the first time a sitting governor slept in Pulka, a town located about 22 kilometres from Gwoza.

The governor held a security meeting with the Brigade Commander, military officers, other security personnel, and members of the civilian JTF.

He said leadership requires sacrifice and direct engagement with affected communities.

'Leadership is not about living in your comfort zone but coming directly to the doorsteps of the less privileged,' Gov. Zulum said.

He added that he has consistently prioritised visits to remote areas since assuming office.

The governor noted that he rarely stays long in his office, emphasizing field engagement as a key part of governance.

He called on residents to cooperate with security agencies to help identify criminal elements.

He said community support remains critical to ending insecurity.
