Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, has renominated Prof. Usman Tar, the immediate past commissioner for information and internal security, as a commissioner nominee.

The reappointment was announced on Tuesday by the Speaker of the Borno State House of Assembly, Hon. Abdulkarim Lawan, during plenary.

Alongside Prof. Tar, the speaker announced six other commissioner nominees submitted by the governor for reappointment. They are:

  1. Hon. Sugun Mai Mele
  2. Hon. Saina Buba
  3. Engr. Lawan Abba Wakilbe
  4. Umar Lawan Dalorima
  5. Prof. Baba Mallam Gana
  6. Hon. Aliyu Mohammed Buba

The nominees are expected to appear before the house for screening at a date to be communicated.

Last week, Gov. Zulum submitted three names for commissioner positions. All three were screened by the assembly and are scheduled to be sworn in due course.
