Nigeria continues to grapple with economic pressures, security concerns, and social tensions as the nation approaches its 65th Independence anniversary.

Amid these challenges, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to address the nation on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, in a broadcast marking the historic occasion.

The presidential speech will air at 7 a.m. and is expected to reflect on the country’s progress since independence while outlining plans to tackle current issues.

Citizens across the country and in the diaspora are encouraged to tune in to hear the president’s message of reflection, unity, and national direction.

All television, radio stations, and electronic media platforms have been directed to connect to the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) for the live broadcast.

The announcement was made in a statement issued on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.

The annual Independence Day broadcast is expected to set the tone for renewed national efforts toward economic growth, security, and democratic consolidation.
