Female indigenes of Borno State who scored 200 and above in the 2025 UTME are set to benefit a scholarship scheme from Borno State Government.

This initiative, announced by the governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, aims to empower young women through education and support their pursuit of higher education without financial burdens.

He made the announcement on Saturday during the inauguration of the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN) Maiduguri Branch, highlighting his administration's commitment to advancing girl-child education and promoting women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields.

The eligibility criteria for the scholarship scheme include scoring 250 and above in the 2025 UTME, specifically targeting female indigenes of Borno State.

The objective of this initiative is to empower young women through education, enabling them to pursue higher education without financial burdens.

The scholarship scheme will focus on promoting women in STEM fields, particularly engineering and technology, aligning with the governor's administration commitment to advancing girl-child education.
