The Borno State Police Command has conducted a one-day capacity-building training aimed at reinforcing professionalism, discipline, and operational efficiency among its personnel.
The training held at the Command Headquarters in Maiduguri on Tuesday brought together officers across various units for an intensive session focused on administrative proficiency, ethical conduct, and modern policing strategies.
It was facilitated by Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Finance and Administration, DCP A.M. Bello, who led the interactive engagement with practical insights and global best practices.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso, the initiative is part of a broader commitment to human capital development within the Nigeria Police Force, aligning with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, to entrench a culture of professionalism, accountability, and excellence in policing nationwide.
'The training underscores our readiness to adapt to the dynamic nature of security challenges and to deliver services that reflect the highest standards of integrity and competence,' the Command stated.
Participants expressed optimism that the knowledge gained will translate into improved service delivery and stronger community trust, a critical element in maintaining peace and order across the state.
The Command reaffirmed its dedication to continuous training and reforms as key tools in strengthening the capacity of officers to effectively respond to evolving security demands in Borno State.
