Despite the recent terrorist attack in Yobe State that claimed over 100 lives, the governors of the North East region have vowed not to be deterred by the insurgents.

Chairman of the North East Governors Forum and Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, assured that the governments in the region would work with security agencies to restore normalcy and maintain the relative peace already achieved.

This bold stance comes after Gov. Zulum expressed his sympathies to Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, and the victims and families of the terrorist attack in Mafa, Tarmuwa Local Government Area.

The attack, which occurred last weekend, left many dead, several injured, and caused significant property damage.

The governor condemned the attack, urging unity in the fight against insecurity in the northeast.

He emphasized the need for collective action, saying, 'in times like these, we must come together as a community to support one another... If we come together, In Shaa Allah, we will overcome this challenge.'

The governor's assurance is a testament to the region's determination to defy terrorism and restore peace, despite the recent setback.
